Collection 2, Mug For A Motivated New Year
I’m kind of a mug collector and I know I’m not alone. I like mugs with sayings on them,and find them motivational. There is nothing quite like reaching for your morning cup to fill with something hot (in my case it is the de rigueur cup of coffee) and reading something like “Fresh Start” for a fresh infusion of energy.
That might be from the caffeine- but I have a happy feeling whenever I use that mug. I’m sure it comes from the idea that every single day is new start, a fresh chance to begin … my goals, good efforts, whatever! It especially came in handy when I decided to de-clutter my house and life this last year.
In the spirit of this attitude permeating the coming year with that kind of energy, I thought it would be fun to make a collection of mugs I like that are motivational and inspiring.

You might want a mug to help you feel the same way in the morning.
There are such a wide variety of designs on multiple choices of mugs, from those with colorful handles to travel mugs, little or giant cups… many customizable.
You also could make your own design, unique to you with a photos of your own and the quote that most inspires you . I hope you are inspired and motivated to prompt your mornings with a remarkable saying or thought.
That reminds me. If you have read the blog of Seth Godin, or Leo Babauta there are loads of short pithy thoughts that are sparks for great quotes to use for your own morning cuppa. copyright laws may prevent you from selling such products, but wouldn’t limit you in making one for yourself.
Why Must We Get Motivated?
Our brains sometimes “get stuck”. We get used to a certain track, especially in our thinking, which tends towards entropic winding down.
Not that that is bad, because we can’t operate in high gear at all times, and rest, reflection, and recovery are very important. But after a good nights rest, or maybe spending too much time in something of a rut, a bit of a challenge, in the form of a picture or saying, or whatever gives us liftoff into flight of creativity or accomplishment is most welcome.
That is where my idea of having an object of daily use, like our coffee cup, used as a reminder to dream, act, overcome… whatever our timely interest in moving forward might be… is a fantastic idea for oneself or as a gift for a friend.
I just like this idea.
